This panel will focus on the intersection of leadership and physical appearance/gendered presentation and question how the representation of identity and history can exclude (or include) the legitimacy and authority of certain bodies. Panelists will discuss the work that must be done to deconstruct the dominant stereotypes surrounding physical images of leadership. This includes not only stereotypes of gender and presentation, but also the ways in which gender intersects with other identities and positions, including race, class, ability and nationality, among others.
