The Refugees in Towns Project at the Henry J. Leir Institute for Migration & Human Security is proud to present its 3rd annual convening. This year's event, the Race and Migration Symposium, draws from RiT's ongoing research with the Hello Neighbor Network, focusing on the intersections of race and migration within the United States. RiT and Tufts University researchers will present their findings on how refugees learn about race and racism. The conference will then explore how organizations and advocates can foster more welcoming communities and expand racially informed resettlement programming, hearing from immigrants themselves and practitioners.
This event is sponsored by Tufts' Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life. We gratefully acknowledge their technical and financial support in producing our research with the Hello Neighbor Network.
This event is free and open to the public. Participants are invited attend this event via Zoom (Zoom link to be emailed prior to event) or in-person in the Rabb Room (Barnum Hall, Room 100, Tufts University).
