How to Shine in your interviews by developing your research skills: Be an Outstanding Job Candidate with Research In-Person
This workshop will review the importance and means to develop research skills well so that you clearly understand the issues of the domain of the field you are interested in working in. For example, to have great questions when the interviewer finished up the interview and asks, “Now, do you have any questions for me?”
Other concepts this workshop will cover:
- To know how to effectively research the organization or company where you are applying for a job or interviewing.
- Your research (for example from a class project) could show your knowledge of a topic that could get you a job.
- Your research could give you knowledge of the jargon and current trends in a certain domain that could get you a job.
- A research project you are working on could lead you to a job and could show you are invested in the issues that organization is addressing.
- To have relevant things to talk about in networking conversations.
