One natural inclination in the face of this revolution is to turn to the international human rights regime as the legal and institutional paradigm through which to evaluate these changes, their impacts, and how to respond.
In this International Law Conversation, subject matter expert Professor Jorge Arturo Cerdio Herran of the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) will explore initiatives along those lines in conversation with Professor Tom Dannenbaum. At the crux of that discussion will be the fundamental questions of how to assess the impact of AI on human rights and how human rights may be able to shape and regulate the development of AI.
